Charter Day at the Capitol 2024

10AM-11AM - Registration + Check In and Student Performances
11AM-12PM - Our Capitol Steps program will begin, and last about 45 minutes. Our guest speakers, honorees and student performances include diverse charter stakeholders from across the Mitten!
12PM-1PM - Lunch on the Capitol Lawn and Student Performances

***For school buses, showcase and performing schools, and large groups ONLY - MAPSA has reserved the meters along the front of the Capitol. If you have a school bus or large vehicle, or are one of our participating showcase or performing schools, you may use the bagged meters for complimentary parking

PARKING:
Parking is available at meters located around the building and throughout downtown using the Passport Parking app. Using the app, you simply enter your “zone” code and link to a credit card. There is a 4 hour maximum at the meters. You cannot extend your parking pass time without moving to a different zone.
There are also a few parking garages you can choose as well:
- South Grand Ramp (privately owned), 201 S Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933
- C & W lot (Ellis Parking), Corner of S Capitol & W Washtenaw, 231 S Capitol Ave, Lansing, MI 48933
- North Grand Ramp (City of Lansing), 219 N Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933
- Townsend Street Parking Ramp (Ellis Parking), 221 Townsend St, Lansing, MI 48933
